Ball State University is committed to ensuring that all graduates and guests can fully participate in commencement ceremonies. Each ceremony will include accessible parking, accessible seating areas, closed captioning and sign language interpreters to support an inclusive experience for all.

Please note that Ball State does not provide wheelchairs or mobility devices. Guests requiring such equipment must bring their own.

Commencement is a non-ticketed event and does not offer reserved seating. Upon arrival, please locate an event staff member who will assist you with seating and accommodations. Doors open one hour before the ceremony- early arrival is strongly encouraged to allow ample time for entry and seating.

For the safety and comfort of all attendees, only one companion may sit with the wheelchair user in the designated accessible seating area. Additional members of the party will be directed to nearby seating outside this section.

As we prepare to welcome thousands of guests to each ceremony, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding. Our team is working diligently to ensure a smooth and celebratory experience for everyone!

If you or your guests have additional accessibility needs or questions, please contact the Commencement office at commencement@bsu.edu. We are happy to assist and want every attendee to feel welcomed and supported.
