While all degrees that Ball State University offers are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, many programs have additional accreditations from agencies within their own disciplines. These specialized accreditations mean that the programs meet the academic rigors expected from professionals within their fields and are among the most highly recognized in the nation for their quality of education and career preparation.

Several units at Ball State have specialized accreditations that are not directly connected to a degree program but elevate our contribution to education.
The School of Music has school-wide accreditation from the National Association of Schools of Music.
