Carla has a Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design awarded with Distinction and Bachelor of Architecture, College of Architecture and Urban Studies, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Her interests include; the ordinary landscape; culture, identity + landscape; nature, commemorative places; landscape and memory, and modern landscape architecture history and theory. She taught at Ball State in the Department of Landscape Architecture between 2004-2018.
