Miguel San Miguel
Associate Professor of Practice of Architecture
Miguel teaches courses in the undergraduate and graduate departments with his areas of interest being design foundations, communications and methodologies, creativity, building technology and systems, materiality, industrialized construction, architectural history, multi-family housing, and vernacular design.
Miguel has previously been recognized with BSU-NRHH Chapter’s Certificate of Recognition for “Outstanding Impact on Student Education”.
Building upon his varied architectural interests and extensive study and travel throughout Asia, Western Europe, Central and South America he created the CAP Japan Go and CAP España study abroad programs. Miguel’s career spans 30 years of experience in union with award winning firms in Los Angeles and he has been the lead designer on multiple award-winning projects of various building typologies. He holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University and a Master of Architecture with Distinction from The University of California, Los Angeles.
