About Theresa Kruczek

Theresa Kruczek, PhD, HSPP is an Associate Professor of School Counseling. She is a licensed health services provider in psychology and school counselor. Her primary research interests are in prevention of family and dating violence as well as promoting trauma recovery. Additional research interests include child and family treatment outcome, counselor education and supervision, and school-based counseling. Dr. Kruczek primarily teaches practitioner oriented courses including: Youth Crisis and Trauma Counseling, Counseling Exceptional Children, and Pre-practicum in School Counseling. Dr. Kruczek is a member of the Indiana School Counselor Association and American School Counselor Association. She has been actively involved with the Indiana Psychological Association’s (IPA) Science and Education Subcommittee, and she received the Gordon Barrows Award for Distinguished Contributions to Psychology from IPA in 2015. She is also involved in Division 17 (Society of Counseling Psychology) of the American Psychological Association. Dr. Kruczek is the Associate Editor of the International Journal for School-Based Family Counseling.
