Dr. Ophélie Allyssa Desmet is an Assistant Professor of Educational Psychology. She received her PhD from Purdue University in Educational Studies, majoring in Gifted Education. Her research focuses on promoting talent development by examining the interplay of cognitive, psychosocial, social-emotional, and motivational factors. At the core of Dr. Desmet’s mission is developing and evaluating interventions to prevent and resolve academic underachievement, enabling gifted students to reach their full potential.
