About Janay Sander
Janay B. Sander is the Director of the PhD in School Psychology program and has been at Ball State since 2012. She is also a licensed psychologist (Indiana). Her expertise is in the intersection of emotional, behavioral and learning concerns in children and adolescents. She is particularly interested in conducting research about evidence-based interventions to reduce disproportionality and address the educational and mental health needs of youth who come in contact with juvenile justice systems. Her emphasis is on positive and strengths-based methods using an ecological systems framework. Her skills and research projects include topics related to consultation and interventions at the individual, family, classroom, or school level.
