Silas Hansen’s essays have appeared in The Normal School, Colorado Review, Hayden’s Ferry Review, Redivider, Slate, and elsewhere. His work earned an AWP Intro Journals Project Award in 2013 and three “Notable Essay” mentions in the Best American Essays series. His research and teaching interests include the personal essay, multimodal creative writing, comics, creative writing pedagogy, and literary editing and publishing.
