This concentration prepares students to teach general music, band, and orchestra in K–12 schools.

Designed for students who are passionate about instrumental music, the curriculum includes coursework in education and instrumental methods, ensemble participation, conducting, and practical instrumental techniques.

Graduates go on to lead school bands, orchestras, and general music classrooms. Many pursue graduate studies, and nearly all begin fulfilling teaching careers upon graduation.
