Will Cooper loves fundraising.

You can tell because the outdoorsman left behind a career in which he got paid to go camping, hiking, backpacking and fly fishing, all to become a fundraiser.

Will was working for a youth organization and planned to one day lead the outdoor adventures operations. Then he got bit by the fundraising bug and discovered how much he enjoyed building relationships with donors. He has never regretted trading his boots and bug spray for a necktie and a laptop.


Having grown up in scenic central Kentucky’s thoroughbred country, Will is still getting adjusted to the flatlands of central Indiana. He holds a BS in landscape architecture from the University of Kentucky and an MA in executive development for public service from Ball State University.

Will still gets outdoors plenty, primarily through gardening, a pastime he enjoys because it allows him to both work with his hands and spend time with his wife and four children. If he could be anywhere other than here, right now, he would be in the mountains, any mountains. But if he had to choose northern New Mexico or southern Colorado.
