Completed in 2014, The Wheeler-Thanhauser Collection and Species Bank of orchids is housed within The Dr. Joe and Alice Rinard Orchid Greenhouse. Its purpose is:
- To conserve rare and endangered species of orchids
- To disseminate them for conservation
- To use the collection for research and education
The greenhouse is open to the public Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for self-guided tours, or by appointment. Learn more about the Rinard Orchid Greenhouse.
Located in Christy Woods, the greenhouse is on the southwest end of our campus.
