The
L.A. Pittenger Student Center serves as a hub for many on-campus student organizations, programs, and services. The center also contains the Tally food court, barbershop, bowling alley, post office, and 24-room hotel. Offices for the Rinker Center for Global Affairs (international
education) as well as Parking Services can also be found in the Student Center. Renovations
completed in 2010 included improvements to its front entrance, the addition of
a Taco Bell and Starbucks to its food court, and clustering all student
organization offices onto its first level, among other upgrades.
Namesake:
Lemuel A. Pittenger, who served as president of the university from 1927 to 1942.
