Shawnna brings over a decade of experience in ABA, having held various roles such as BCBA, Parent Training Coordinator, and Clinical Education Coordinator. Her research interests are not just academic pursuits but a reflection of her commitment to social justice issues, with a special focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within the field of ABA.
Professional Experience
Shawnna Sundberg has held diverse roles, including BCBA, Parent Training Coordinator, and Clinical Education Coordinator. Her professional journey has provided specialized ABA services to Autistic children and their families. Shawnna has also played a crucial role in supervising and mentoring future BCBAs and BCaBAs, emphasizing ethical and effective practices in behavior analysis. Throughout her clinical career, Shawnna has actively worked to dismantle ableism, advocate for ABA reform, and address social justice issues within the field. She promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in ABA practice. Additionally, Shawnna has a special interest in sexuality education for Autistic individuals, actively training behavior analysts and parents on these vital topics.
