Assistant Teaching Professor

Dr. Williams has over 10 years of experience within the field of applied behavior analysis, and she has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses since 2015. Her research interests focus on early intervention and diagnostics in young children with developmental disorders, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She is passionate about exploring the efficacy of early intervention strategies and their impact on long-term developmental outcomes. Additionally, she’s interested in developing and evaluating parent/guardian coaching programs that provide essential support and training, empowering them to effectively implement intervention strategies at home and fostering a collaborative approach to treatment. Furthermore, she’s committed to the training and professional development of staff members, ensuring they are equipped with the latest evidence-based practices and techniques to deliver high-quality care and support to children and their families.

Professional Experience

Dr. Williams was a clinical director for a center-based autism program, where her role was to oversee the clinical services, coordinate services with related service providers, supervise registered behavior technicians (RBTs) and those working towards national certification in behavior analysis, and manage everyday clinical operations of the center. She was also responsible for establishing clinical and training practices and procedures. Following her role as the clinical director, she transitioned to a role as a clinical evaluator for an accreditation organization, where she completed clinical audits for behavior analytic organizations working towards accreditation.

Dr. Williams holds an independent school psychologist license through the Ohio Board of Psychology, school psychology certification through the Ohio Department of Education, and the Nationally Certified School Psychologist credential. She also is a board certified behavior analyst and a certified Ohio behavior analyst through the Ohio Board of Psychology. Dr. Williams currently serves on the executive board of The Ohio Association for Behavior Analysis.
